Randy's Twist Tie Rolls

Everybody's Favorite at The Tredway Hilton

                Ingredients:

 ·        2 ¼ teaspoons dry active yeast

 ·        4 ½ cups all purpose unbleached flour

 ·        ½    teaspoon salt

 ·        ½    cup sugar

 ·        ½    cup butter or margarine

 ·        1     cup milk

 ·        1     egg

         

             Directions:

 ·        Put yeast in bread machine first

 ·        Add flour (unbleached if possible

 ·        Add remaining dry ingredients

 ·        Combine milk & butter (or margarine) in measuring cup

 ·        Heat until warm to touch in microwave (appx 50 seconds)

 ·        Add egg & warm milk & butter

 ·        Start bread machine

 ·        Let machine knead, first rise & 2nd knead

 ·        Remove from bread machine and divide into two even pieces

 ·        Roll out on flour covered board

 ·        Cut into 12 strips

 ·        Elongate and twist each piece and tie into knots

 ·        Place on baking sheet

 ·        Let rise in warm place about 90 minutes

 ·        Bake at 350º until done (appx 11 minutes)

 ·        Remove from baking sheet to platter

 ·        Brush with garlic butter immediately
