
Ingredients:
Stone Ground Cornmeal
Boiling Water
Salt
Crisco
Instructions:
Mound about 1 pound (or any amount you want) on Cornmeal
Put a teaspoon of salt (per pound of cornmeal) (kosher salt preferred)
Add boiling water, stir in with a dinner fork until mixture
is just moist,
where it wont quite stick to your finger when damp.
Cover for 10 minutes. This will "cook" the cornmeal.
Add enough Crisco in a frying pay to a medium high setting
(where you see it rippling).
Wet your hands with cool water, shake off loose water.
Patty cornmeal mush to desired thickness and place carefully
in skillet.
Fry hot until golden brown, flip and repeat.
Drain on absorbent paper towel.
Let cool a minute or two and enjoy
